In cooperation with the Austrian Academy of Sciences - Commission for Geographic Information Science and the University of Salzburg Department of Geoinformatics - Z_GIS this scientific colloquium features plenary presentations by leading Geographic Information Scientists.We are honoured to announce Michael F. Goodchild, Member National Academy of Sciences US and Professor Emeritus of Geography, University of California, Santa Barbara and Affiliate Professor of Geography, University of Washington. His keynote lecture on ‘GISCIENCE AND GEOGRAPHY: AN EVOLVING RELATIONSHIP’ will be followed by distinguished shorter contributions from his scholars and colleagues, showcasing highlights of the advancement of fundamental guiding principles, impacts of Geographic Information Science, and recent and future trends impacting society.
